In India, we can get to see Samosa everywhere, in big restaurants, hotels, Dhaba, Caffe, canteen, and even in small roadside stalls. During college days we used to meet friends at samosa point, it was the place where we used to eat samosas and spend time.

1) How to make simple Samosa

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Maida 2 cup’s
  • Ghee
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled potatoes
  • Greenpeace
  • Coriander leaves
  • Ajwain
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Ginger
  • Green chilies
  • Cumin seeds
  • Garam masala powder
  • Amchur powder
  • Chaat masala.

Process:

1.  For preparing samosa first we will knead the dough.

2. So for that, we will take maida in a bowl, add salt as per taste.

3. Then add ajwain, mix all this well.

4. Add 1/4 of ghee in the mixture, mix it.

5. Then by adding water as requested we will knead the dough, use cold water for kneading the dough.

6. And the dough for samosa should not be soft. Rest the dough for 30 minutes.

Now we will make stuffing for samosa

1.  So heat a pan add oil in it.

2. Then add cumin seeds, chopped ginger, let it fry for 2 minutes.

3. Add Greenpeace, add mashed potatoes, chopped green chilies.

4. Then add red chili powder, garam masala powder, amchur powder, chaat masala powder.

5. Add salt as per taste, mix it well.

6. Now add chopped coriander leaves, mix all this properly, and let it cool down.

7. Now take the dough which we have kept for resting.

8. Make small lumps out of the dough, the. Roll the lumps like chapati.

9. Once you are done rolling it then cut from between the rolled chapati.

10. Apply a little bit of water in the sides of the cut chapati then shape the cut chapati like a con.

11. Then add the stuffing which we have already made.

12. Press the stuffing so that we can seal the open side of the samosa, seal the ends properly so that it won’t get open in the oil while frying.

13. Stuff all the samosa like this then it’s time to fry it.

14. Heat oil in a pan put stuffed samosa in the oil and fry it until it’s golden brown, fry on medium flame.

15. Now transfer the fried samosa on a plate keep a tissue paper on the plate so that all the excess oil will be removed.

Serve it hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

2) How to make onion samosa

  • All-purpose flour 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Poha 1/2 cup
  • Water
  • Ghee
  • Onions
  • Green chilies
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil.

Process:

1. For preparing samosa first we will knead the dough.

2. So for that, we will take a maida in a bowl.

3. Add salt as per taste, then add ajwain, mix all this well.

4. Then add 1/4 of ghee in the mixture, mix it.

5. Now by adding water as requested we will knead the dough, use cold water for kneading the dough, and the dough for samosa should not be soft.

6. Rest the dough for 30 minutes.

Now we will make onion stuffing.

1. Take 1/2 cup of pour in a bowl, break/ crush the poha.

2. Add chopped onions, chopped green chilies, then add salt to taste.

3. Then add red chili powder, add a pinch of turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, then add ginger garlic paste.

4. Add chopped coriander leaves, mix it well, stuffing is ready.

5. Now take the kneaded dough make lumps from it, then roll it thin as much you can.

6. Roast the rolled chapati for 10 seconds on a Pan on both the sides, you can see that it has become a thin sheet, transfer it to a plate.

7. Like this only make all the sheets from remaining dough lumps, now cut the sheets in a square shape.

8. Now fold that sheets in a triangle, and make con shape, now stuff the fillings into the con, fold the ends and seal it.

9. Make all the remaining samosa like this, heat oil and fry all the samosa until it’s nicely golden brown.

 

Our Onion Samosa is ready to eat.

3) Paneer samosa

Recipe Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • Bell pepper(red, yellow)
  • Paneer
  • Red chili powder
  • Garam masala
  • Kasuri methi
  • Chaat masala

Process:

1.  Knead the dough for making samosa with all-purpose flour, salt, and water, rest it for 30 minutes.

We will prepare the stuffing.

1. Take a Pan, add oil in it, heat it.

2. Once the oil is heated then add cumin seeds.

3. Then add chopped red, yellow bell pepper into the oil, fry all this on low flame for 5 minutes, the bell pepper should get soft.

4. Now add paneer (cut the half paneer in small cubes, and crumble or grade the remaining paneer).

5. Then add red chili powder, garam masala, salt as per taste.

6. Add then crush some Kasuri methi and add it, add chaat masala, now switch off the flame and mix all together, and let it cool down.

7. Make small lumps out of the dough, the. Roll the lumps like chapati.

8. Once you are done rolling it then cut from between the rolled chapati.

9. Apply a little bit of water in the sides of the cut chapati then shape the cut chapati like a con.

10. Add the paneer stuffing which we have already made.

11. Press the stuffing so that we can seal the open side of the samosa, seal the ends properly so that it won’t get open in the oil while frying.

 

Then fry all the samosa and serve it hot.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • White peas 1cup
  • Chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion 1/2 cup
  • Chopped green chilies
  • Sev
  • Oil
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Sweet curd 1/2 cup
  • Green chutney
  • Sweet and sour chutney
  • Salt to taste.

Process:

1. Heat some oil in a pan, when the oil gets hot.

2. Then add chopped green chilies into the pan.

3. Add chopped onion, and saute for some time.

4. Then add white peas, chopped tomatoes, mix it and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

5. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, add red chili powder.

6. Then add little water and let it simmer, add the samosa, and brake it into pieces, mix it well together.

7. Now turn off the flame and transfer this on a plate.

Serving

1.  Now add some chopped onions.

2. Green chutney, sweet and sour chutney.

3. Then add some sweet curd over it.

4. Add chopped coriander leaves, add sev on top.

Serve the samosa chaat.

  • Ginger

  • Raisins 9 to 10
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Boiled potatoes
  • Greenpeace
  • Black pepper powder.

Process:

1.  Knead the dough for making samosa with all-purpose flour, salt, ghee, and water, rest it for 30 minutes.

2. Heat a pan, then add coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and roast all this.

3. After roasting blend this.

4. Heat a pan add ghee, then add sliced ginger, chopped green chilies, saute it for 2 to 3 minutes.

5. Then add raisins, then add turmeric powder, red chili powder.

6. Add boiled potatoes(you can smash the potatoes or cube them in small).

7. Then add green peas, mix it, and cover the lead and cook for 5 minutes.

8. Now open the lead and add the blended masala, black pepper powder.

9. Then add salt to taste, mix it well then switch off the flame, and let it cool down.

10. Now roll the dough balls, shape them like con/ triangle fill the stuffing seal the open ends.

 

11. And fry it in medium, hot oil, fry them golden brown.

6) Chinese veg samosa

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Carrot
  • Cabbage
  • Spring onion
  • Green chilies
  • Ginger
  • Bread
  • Soya sauce
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Coriander leaves
  • Water
  • Oil.

Process:

1.  Slice julienned of carrot, chop cabbage, slice white of spring onion, chopped green chilies, sliced ginger.

2. Now heat a pan, add oil to it, then add all the chopped vegetables, let it fry.

3.Till then cut the sides of the bread, and cut the sides into small pieces.

4. Then add soya sauce to the frying veggies, vinegar.

5. Add a little bit of sugar, mix all together.

6. Then add chopped bread pieces, chopped coriander leaves, and green spring onion.

7. Turn off the flame, now smash all this well.

8. Now take the bread which we have cut the sides of.

9. Apply a little bit of water and try to roll it.

10. Then again apply water if you feel it’s needed to make the bread soft so that you will be able to shape it in a triangle.

11. Now add little of stuffing in between the rolled bread.

12. Then fold the one side of the bread on the other side of bread press the ends.

13. And you can see the bread have got the triangle shape, repeat this to make all remaining samosa.

14. Fry this in hot and medium oil.

So it is ready, too eat.

7) Cocktail samosa

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Samosa Patti
  • Oil
  • Coriander seeds
  • Onions
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Green chilies
  • Greenpeace
  • Chilli powder
  • Amchur powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled potatoes
  • Coriander leaves.

Process:

1.  Heat a pan add oil to the pan.

2. Then add coriander seeds, saute for a minute.

3. Add chopped onions, saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

4. Then add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, saute for 2 minutes.

5. Add Greenpeace, saute for a minute.

6. Then add chili powder, amchur powder, salt to taste mix all this well.

7. Add mashed boiled potatoes,  mix it well and combine it all.

8. Then lastly add chopped coriander leaves.

9. Let the mixture cool down, then take the samosa Patti to shape them like triangle/con.

10. And then fill the stuffing then apply some water at open ends and close them.

11. Then heat a pan add oil to it, and fry the samosa till it’s golden brown.

after the frying transfer, it to a plate, and serve hot with chutney.

8) Corn samosa

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • Green chilies
  • Curry leaves
  • Onion
  • Corn
  • Salt
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam masala
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander leaves
  • Poha.

Process:

1.  Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is heated then add in cumin seeds.

2. As the cumin seeds, crackle then add 2  chopped green chilies, and curry leaves.

3. Now we will cook this on a medium flame for a minute stir it continuously.

4. Then add in chopped onion,  let the onion cook for another minute.

5. Now we will add corn half of crushed corn and half as it is.

6. Then we will add salt to taste, then add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder.

7. Add chopped coriander leaves, then mix this nicely.

8. Cook this for 4 to 5 minutes on medium flame, after 5 minutes switch off the flame.

9. And then add poha to the mixture, mix it well and keep this aside for cooling.

10. Now we will use the samosa Patti, so fold the Patti.

11. Then add the mixture in it then apply maida, water paste to its ends and try to seal it, make all the samosa.

12. Then heat oil on and fry it.

The corn samosa is ready.

9) Cheese samosa

Process:

1.  Heat a pan add oil to it.

2. Then add chopped onion to the pan and fry the onion until it’s golden brown.

3. Once the onions are golden brown then add chopped potatoes and green chilies.

4. Mix this and fry for 2 minutes.

5. Then add turmeric powder, salt to taste and red chili powder, give a stir and keep the flame on low else the masala may burn.

6. Add water and cover the lead and cook for 10 minutes so that the potato will become soft, then switch off the flame and let it cool down.

7. Now we will take the samosa Patti when the mixture is cooled down at room temperature, we will fold the samosa Patti and stuff the little grated cheese.

8. Then add little Potato mixture, and again we will add a little bit of cheese on top of the mixture, repeat the steps and make all the remaining samosa

9. Then heat oil in a pan, now we will deep fry the samosa, then transfer it to a plate.

And our cheese samosa is ready to eat.

10) Chocolate Samosa

  • Maida
  • Water
  • Ghee
  • Dark chocolate
  • Pistachios
  • Salt to taste
  • Caster sugar

Process

1. For making chocolate Samosa we will first make dough for the same.

2. So for that in a bowl Take maida, add the caster sugar.

3. And then add hot ghee and mix it well.

4. Then make a dough using water as much required.

5. Once the dough is ready keep it for rest for 30 minutes.

6. Now we will make the chocolate stuffing, for that in a bowl Take grated dark chocolate.

7. Add chopped pistachios, and a little bit of caster sugar, mix it well.

8. Now take the dough to divide it in small balls.

9. Then roll the balls, then cut the rolled ball and divide it in two.

10. Take the one part of rolled and fold it and give it a con shape.

11. Then fill the chocolate stuffing and seal the ends.

12. Heat oil and fry the chocolate samosa on medium flame.

  • Maida
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Coriander leaves
  • Garam masala
  • Dry mango powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Red chili powder
  • Green chilies.

Process:

1.  Knead the dough for making samosa with all-purpose flour, salt, ghee, and water, rest it for 30 minutes.

2. Now we will smash the boiled potatoes with hands.

3. Then we will add chopped coriander leaves, garam masala, dry mango powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and chopped green chilies, mix this well.

4. Once the mixture is combined then we will make small balls of the mixture.

5. Now take the dough and divide the dough into small balls.

6. Roll the ball in purri size circle, roll it thin.

7. Then put the stuffing in the center of the puri.

8. Apply some water around sides of the stuffing, fold in pleats, then gently press in middle, and try to shape it like potli.

9. Heat oil and fry the potli samosa until it’s golden brown.
