How to make Simple Paratha | 8 Different Best Recipes |

Paratha is commonly served as a breakfast, it can be plain or stuffed paratha.  We can make the stuffed paratha with various stuffing such as Aloo, Gobhi, Paneer, Onion, Chana dal, cheese, muli, methi, and many more.

Aloo and methi paratha is more favourable, the Masala paratha is also liked by everyone and is very easy to cook.
It is a dish cooked with wheat flour, Maida is also been used for making the dough.
Paratha is a dish in which wheat flour is kneaded which is been stuffed with a variety of stuffing with some ghee and is served.

For this dish it’s very important to apply ghee over it, you can also use oil or butter, mostly ghee and butter is being preferred.

 

Serving of Paratha:

Paratha can be served with Tomato Ketchup, Curd, Aloo jeera, a lot of butter, Mutton, Chicken, Onions.
it is also served with some hot tea for breakfast.

 

1) Plain Paratha

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed.

Process:

1.  For making Plain Paratha we have to knead the dough first.

2. So now we will take the wheat flour in a big bowl in which we can knead the dough properly.

3. Then we will add salt as per taste, then add 2 tablespoons of oil, mix the ingredients.

4. add little water and knead the dough, add water as needed.

5. When you are done kneading the dough then keep the dough aside for 20 minutes, cover it.

6. After 20 to 30 minutes we will take that dough then keep some wheat flour in a plate we will use this while rolling.

7. Then take a small amount of dough in your hand and make it a round shape, dip it into the wheat flour and roll small chapati.

8. Apply oil over it, and fold it and again dip into the wheat flour and roll a medium-size chapati.

9. Make sure it should not be thin like papad, it should be a little thick,  roll it evenly from all the sides.

10. Then keep a Tawa on gas. Apply some oil over the Tawa once the Tawa is heated then put this rolled Paratha on the Tawa.

11. Flip the side of it once it’s one side is roasted, apply some oil over it, and roast the other side of the also, then serve it.

You can also use butter instead of oil.

2) Aloo Paratha Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour 1.5 cups
  • Water as needed
  • Boiled Aloo 1 cup
  • Green chillies 4-5
  • Coriander leaves
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Onions 1 big
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Amchur powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee 6-7 tsp
  • Oil  4-5 tsp.

Process:

1.  Take a bowl, add wheat flour in the bowl, then add water in it, knead the dough, now cover the dough and keep it for 15 to 20 minutes.

2. Till then we will make Aloo masala, for that in a bowl we will take boiled aloo, smashed the aloo.

3. Then add chopped green chillies, chopped garlic ginger, finely chopped onions, coriander leaves.

4. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, and amchur powder, add salt to taste, mix all the ingredients well, aloo masala is ready.

5. Now take the dough, take a small amount of dough make it round shape ball.

6. Then with the help of your hands make area/ place in between the ball in which you can stuff the aloo masala.

7. Stuff the aloo masala into the dough ball and seal the end of the dough ball.

8. Now dip this stuffed ball into wheat flour and roll it in a round shape, roll evenly from all the sides.

9. Heat a Pan apply some oil/ghee over it and put the rolled Paratha into the pan.

10. And roast the paratha from one side then flip it and let the other side also roast then apply ghee and press it where you can see it’s uncooked.

11. Cook it from both sides and then serve it hot with some ketchup.

If we add desi Makhan or Ghee our dish will become Punjabi Aloo Paratha.

Process:

1.  Firstly make dough from wheat flour, let it rest for some time, then make small lumps of the dough and keep it aside.

Now we will make the stuffing,

2. Smash Paneer in a bowl, then add chopped onion, green chillies, coriander.

3. Add chat masala, black pepper powder, mix it well.

4. Now just fill the stuffing into the dough balls and dip into the wheat flour and roll it nicely.

5. Then roast it, for that heat, a Pan/ Tawa then put the rolled paratha on the Tawa let the one side of it roast.

6. Flip it and apply some oil/ghee, flip it again and apply oil/ghee, once it’s roasted nicely then transfer it on a plate.

4) Chana Dal Paratha

  • Chana dal 1 cup
  • Water as needed
  • Onions 2
  • Green chillies 7-8
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Ghee/ Oil as needed.

 

Process:

1.  Firstly make dough from wheat flour, let it rest for some time, then make small lumps of the dough and keep it aside.

Now we will make the stuffing,

2. We will boil the chana dal in a pressure cooker, so we will add chana dal in a pressure cooker add little water and give one whistle.

3. Then let it cool down and blend it in a blender, then transfer it into a bowl.

4. Add chopped onion, green chillies, chat masala and mix it well, so our stuffing is ready.

5. Now stuff it into the dough ball, dip into the wheat flour, and roll it, then roast it on Tawa.

6. Apply ghee on one side, flip it and again apply ghee, roast it from both the sides and transfer it to a plate.

5) Cheese Paratha

Wheat flour 1.5 cup
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Cheese 1 cup
Oil/ Ghee as needed

Process:

1. Firstly make dough from wheat flour, let it rest for some time, then make small lumps of the dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.

2. Then grate some Cheese in a blow and keep this aside.

3. Now we will roll the dough ball like Chapati, roll it thin, then fold the rolled Chapati from two sides.

4. Then stuff the grated cheese in between the Chapati then fold it from the remaining sides.

5.. Roast this with ghee or oil.

Serve it with Tomato Ketchup.

6) Onion Paratha

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Process:

1.  Firstly make dough from wheat flour, let it rest for some time, then make small lumps of the dough and keep it aside for some time.

Now we will make the stuffing,

2. Heat a pan, add oil let it get hot.

3. Then add chopped onion, green chillies, let the onion fry until it’s golden brown.

4. Add turmeric powder, salt as per taste, coriander powder, let the masala cook and separate oil from the masala.

5. Mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes.

7. Now take the dough, take a small amount of dough make it round shape ball.

6. Then with the help of your hands make area/ place in between the ball in which you can stuff the Onion masala.

7. Stuff the masala into the dough ball and seal the end of the dough ball.

8. Now dip this stuffed ball into wheat flour and roll it in a round shape, roll evenly from all the sides.

  • Ginger 1 tsp
  • Green chillies 8-9
  • Chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ajwain 1 tsp
  • Oil 4-5 tsp
  • Water as needed
  • Ghee 5-6 tsp.

Process:

1. For making methi paratha we will first clean the methi leaves nicely, then chop it very fine.

2. Now take wheat flour, add gram flour in it.

3. Then add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder.

4. Add salt to taste, a little bit of ajwain, mix this well.

5. Then add the chopped methi leaves, then add oil, water as needed and knead the dough.

6. The dough should be soft, then rest the dough for 20 minutes.

7. Then make small lumps from the dough, shape it into balls, then dip the balls into wheat flour and roll it round.

8. Now heat a pan and roast the rolled paratha on the pan, apply ghee or oil, roast it from both the sides.

(You can use extra virgin olive oil instated of oil or ghee ).
