The process to clean the prawns ( how do you wash prawns before cooking)
- Remove the head, tail, legs, and also the shell of the shrimp.
- Then take it in a bowl and rinse each prawn properly with water.
- Rinse it 2-3 times in clean water, then drain the water and you can use it.

- Instead of kokum, can use lemon juice or tamarind paste.
Step by step Tawa Prawns Recipe Process
1. Heat a Tawa, add 4 tbsp of oil in the Tawa.
2. Then add 4 finely chopped onions, fry until it’s golden brown.
3. Now add 4 slit green chilies, add 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
4. Fry for 2 minutes, add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
5. Then add 1 tsp of red chili powder and garam masala
( you can use malvani masala or Kolhapuri masala Instead of garam masala)
6. Fry it for a minute.
7. Then add 500 g of shrimp, now mix everything together.
8. Now add kokum and salt to taste.
9. Cook this for 5 minutes, then add chopped coriander leaves.
10. The recipe is ready to serve.
Serving tips
- Serve it with roti.
- Can be served with rice.
- Or can be eaten only tawa prawns without any other dishes.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 4 no Onions
- 4 no Green chilies
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 500 g Prawns
- 3 no Kokam
- to taste Salt
- Coriander leaves.
The second way to cook Tawa Prawns
Recipe Ingredients
- shrimps 500 g
- Garlic cloves 7
- Ginger 2 inch
- Green chilies 4
- Water as required
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 8
- Onions 4
- Coriander powder 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves.
Process for cooking the recipe
1. Take a blender, add 7 garlic cloves.
2. Add 2-inch ginger and 4 green chilies.
3. Now blend this into a fine paste, use water if required.
4. Take a bowl, add prawns.
5. Then add 1 tbsp of the blended ginger garlic, chili paste.
6. Add salt to taste, and 1 tsp of lemon juice.
7. Then add 1 tsp of red chili powder and turmeric powder.
8. Now add 1/2 cup of tamarind paste, mix everything well.
9. Marinate for 15 minutes.
10. Take a Tawa, add 3 tbsp of oil.
11. Add 8 cloves of garlic, fry it for a minute.
12. Now add 4 finely chopped onions, fry until it’s soft.
13. Add the remaining ginger-garlic, chili paste.
14. Cook until the onions are golden brown.
15. Then add 3 tbsp of red chili powder and 1 tbsp of coriander powder.
16. Add 1 tsp of garam masala powder, cook for a minute.
17. Now add the marinated shrimps, mix everything together.
18. Cook this on medium, high flame, until the oil separates from the masala.
19. Now add chopped coriander leaves.
20. The recipe is ready to serve.
