Recipe Ingredients

  • Prawns 300 g
  • Cornflour 3 tbsp
  • Purpose flour 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Dark soya sauce 3 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Oil as needed
  • Water as needed
  • Garlic minced 2 tbsp
  • Ginger minced 1/2 tbsp

Process before cooking the recipe

  • Clean the prawns properly.
  • Make cornflour paste.
  • Minced ginger and garlic.
  • Chop spring onions and capsicum.

Tips 

  • You can make the recipe with garvy, you just need double the water quantity or add extra water.
  • If you want to make this recipe more healthy then shallow fry, do not deep fry.

We will first make the batter for the recipe

1. Take a bowl, add 2 tbsp of cornflour.

2. And 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour.

3. Add 1tsp of garlic paste and ginger paste.

4. Then add 1 tbsp of dark soya sauce.

5. And 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder.

6. Add 1 egg, now whisk everything together.

7. Make sure the batter should not have any lumps.

8. Now add 300 g of clean prawns.

9. Mix all to gather, make sure the batter should coat the everything.

10. Head a pan, add oil.
( Oil should be enough to deep )

11. Drop the prawns into the oil, flip them once it’s golden brown.

12. From both the side it’s golden brown, transfer it to a plate.

Now we will make a sauce for the recipe.

13. Heat a wok.

14. Take a bowl, add 1 tbsp of cornflour.

15. Add 1 tbsp of water in it.

16. Whisk it to a smooth paste.

17. Once the wok is heated, add 2 tbsp of oil.

18. Add 2 tbsp of minced garlic.

19. Then add 1/2 of minced ginger.

20. Saute it, until the raw flavours go away.

21. Add 2 tbsp of sliced spring onions.

22. Then add 3 slit green chillies.

23. Saute for a minute.

24. Turn the flame medium then add 1 chopped green capsicum.

25. Stir fry this for a minute and add 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder.

26. Add 2 tbsp of dark soya sauce and 1/2 tbsp of chilli sauce.

27. Then add 1/4 cup of water, mix everything together.

28. Now add the cornflour paste, mix it once before adding it.

29. Mix everything, now add the fried prawns.

30. Toast it, make sure it’s being coated well.

31. Now taste this once, add salt if required.

32. Then add 1/2 tsp of vinegar.

33. Mix everything, transfer it to a plate.

Tips for making

  • Use the fresh prawns else it won’t taste good if they smell fishy don’t by, it indicates they are not fresh.

1. Take a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil.

2. Add 2 chopped onions, fry until it’s golden brown.

3. Then add 3 slit green chillies, fry it for a minute.

4. Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, fry it for 2 minutes on medium flame.

5. Add 2 chopped tomatoes, fry for a minute.

6. Then add salt to taste, let it fry until the tomatoes are soft.

7. Now add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and coriander powder.

8. Add 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder and cumin powder.

9. Then add 2 tsp of red chilli powder, mix everything well.

10. Cook until oil separates from the masala.

11. Now add 1/4 cup of water in the pan.

12. Saute the masala for 3 minutes.

13. Then add cleaned prawns, mix everything well.

14. Cook for 5 minutes, stir in between keeping the flame medium.

15. Now add 1 cup of coconut milk, stir it.

16. Cook until it comes to boil.

17. Then cover the lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

18. Open the lid after 10 minutes and add 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

19. Mix everything well, then add chopped coriander leaves.

20. Cook for 2 minutes, switch off the flame.

  • Coconut 1 cup
  • Elayache powder 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Water as required
  • Roasted rice 2 tbsp
  • Ghee 1 tbsp.

Recipe process

1. Grate coconut, then grind the coconut into a blender, keep this aside.

2. Take 2 tbsp of rice roast it, then soak it in water for 10 minutes.

3. Then blend this soaked rice in a blender and keep this aside.
