Tropical Plants to Get the Jungle Look at Home

4. Fern

Fern

Ferns have complex leaves called megaphylls, that are more complex than the microphylls of clubmosses. Ferns are not of major economic importance, but some are used for food, medicine, as biofertilizers, ornamental plants, and for remediating contaminated soil. Their stems are often loosely called rhizomes, even though they grow underground only in some of the species.
